As a content creator, you’re often trying to find the right sources to support your creation to make it just right. We often find ourselves having to worry about copyright infringement, intellectual property rights and more. There are many sites out there that provide stock audio for content creators to use. However, the downside to them … mostly for folks like myself is that we don’t have the financial means to purchase all of it.
Luckily there are other sources that provide the audio royalty-free AND are free to use. Some require attribution, but as an up and coming content creator, I feel that’s just fine. It just means more exposure to the asset creator. For this week, I wanted to share a resource that I came across on my own while creating content for one of my classes …
Surprisingly it’s from YouTube. It’s referred to as the YouTube Audio Library found within YouTube Studio. A simple search for “YouTube Audio Library” should help take you directly to the page. The library features the ability to sort a myriad of categories, such as genre, mood, duration and more. They give you the ability to download the file directly to your computer for you to import into your preferred content software. If you have a free YouTube account, you’re already part of the way there.
I’ve only used it to search for background music for video projects but they do have an assortment of sound bites too to sift through. Definitely worth checking out!
